I had this image in my files for a while and could not decide if I wanted to upload it here or not. Probably someone a bit more proficient in Photoshop than me could recreate this image from scratch in a few minutes as it is so abstract, but this is how the sky looked from the equator in February 2005…
After climbing the Rwenzori Mountains in Uganda, we went on a one day safari at the Queen Elizabeth park. I took some photos of the wildlife, but when the sun started to set we stopped to see the wonderful red colours in the sky, this is the last one with the sun still intact, before it dropped below the horizon.
Shot with EOS3, with 75-300mm lens at 300, on Provia slide, scanned later. Technically speaking more a starscapethan a landscape, but that would be a lonely category ;-)
